Patriots roll past Buccaneers, 35-7

The New England Patriots had no problems racing out to a big lead and cruising to a 35-7 victory over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Quarterback Tom Brady had another day, throwing for over 300 yards and three touchdown passes.

The defense also had a big day, rattling quarterback Josh Johnson into four turnovers, which led to his benching.

For the Patriots, the game in London wasn’t a big deal other than the travel time because they were supposed to play away anyway.

The Patriots now have a bye to get healthy and rested up for the second half of the season.

Patriots romp Titans, 59-0

The New England Patriots finally found their offensive groove in a 59-0 beatdown of the Tennessee Titans.

While they weren’t going up against a very good defense, the offensive output was impressive on a day when snow covered the field at Foxboro.

It was a big third quarter that put the game out of reach. The Patriots hung 35 points on the Titans pathetic secondary.

Quarterback Tom Brady had a career-day by tying his own franchise record with six touchdown passes.

Wide receiver Randy Moss had over 100 yards receiving and two touchdowns while Wes Welker also had two scores.

Patriots fall to Broncos, 20-17

The New England Patriots could not hold off a late Denver Broncos rally and eventually fell in overtime, 20-17.

It was a chance for the teacher to trade chess moves with the pupil as Bill Belichick went up against former offensive coordinator Josh McDaniels.

New England’s defense simply had no answer for wide receiver Brandon Marshall, who had two touchdowns on the day.

The Patriots still look a little bit ragged on offense because quarterback Tom Brady is still trying to shake off some rust.

He overthrew wideout Randy Moss on a sure touchdown, a play that the two have to start connecting on.

Patriots sign Seau

The New England Patriots have signed veteran linebacker Junior Seau to a contract.

This will be Seau’s third time back to the NFL after announcing a retirement. I think he and Brett Favre are fighting for the record.

This will be his 20th NFL season. He spent 13 with the San Diego Chargers before three with Miami and four with New England.

He is a 12-time Pro Bowl linebacker who played the final four games of last season with the Patriots as well.

The team is very thin at the linebacker position and is hoping that Seau can provide some depth and leadership.

Patriots hold off Ravens, 27-21

The New England Patriots held a lead for nearly the entire game en route to a 27-21 win over the Baltimore Ravens.

It wasn’t the prettiest of wins for the Patriots, who needed a fortunate dropped ball at the end of the game to secure the victory.

Quarterback Tom Brady was given excellent protection most of the game and made good use of it.

He hooked up with wide receiver Randy Moss for 50 yards and a touchdown and also found tight end Ben Watson for a couple of big plays.

The Patriots face the undefeated Denver Broncos next week.
